My SiriusXM Show guests this week are Xavier
Eikerenkoetter, and Mark Victor Hansen.
Xavier Eikerenkoetter, is the son of the late
Reverend Ike, (Reverend Frederick J. Eikerenkoetter, II) – the flamboyant
minister who preached a prosperity gospel in the 1970s.
He built a congregation of about 5,000 in New York
City during his peak popularity. His sermons reached millions through television
broadcasts and over 1,770 radio stations.
He sold motivational books, tapes, magazines, and
videos, such as "The Master of Money," and "How to Get Out and Stay Out of the
Hell of Poverty, Sickness, and Suffering."
His son Xavier, along with Mark Victor Hansen (the
author of the highest selling book series in history, Chicken Soup for The
Soul), have written a book about Reverend Ike.
Reverend Ike transformed his life from poverty to
wealth as defined in his mantra that he shared consistently – “you can have
health, happiness, love, success, prosperity and money.”
Reverend Ike was the first black televangelist with
a huge radio ministry.
He taught thousands how to transform their lives by
renewing their minds and the concepts they had of themselves. Mark Victor Hansen
was one of them!
Mark Victor Hansen was a broke entrepreneur when he
met Reverend Ike and started attending his programs. He credits Reverend Ike's
teachings with helping him become a millionaire.
In this new book, Reverend Ike: An
Extraordinary Life of Influence, Xavier and Mark Victor Hansen share
insights into how Rev. Ike was able to transform his own life and the lives of
millions of other people.
