The Cedric Nash Story: From Small Inheritance To Massive Wealth
Hi,
My
Sirius XM Wealthy Ways Show guest this weekend is Cedric Nash, a.k.a. “Your
Millionaire Mentor.” Cedric is the Founder, Owner, President, and CEO of Oakland
Consulting.
Oakland
Consulting has been repeatedly recognized as an Inc. Magazines 50 fastest
growing companies. Oakland Consulting and its affiliate companies have reached
combined revenues of almost $100M with over 300 employees nationwide.
Cedric
Nash a serial entrepreneur and investor who educates, inspires and motivates
wealth building, and he particularly interested in creating more millionaires in
the African American community. He says the racial wealth gap is real and much
of the reason is that many do not know how to create wealth. He has made a
commitment to show others how he created a multi-million dollar portfolio.
Nash
is the founder of The Black Wealth Summit and the author of the books, Why
Should White Guys Have All the Wealth? How
You Can Become a Millionaire Starting from the Bottom and The
Millionaire Money Moves Supplemental Investment Guide.
Cedric
Nash is a firm believer and living example that anyone – regardless of age,
race, income, or starting point – can build wealth if they know how.
He
shares 11 concepts on how to do it!
- You
can become a millionaire starting at the bottom, if you are willing to have
discipline in your spending and consistency in your saving and investing.
- Make
a decision to have a budget and stick to it.
- Pay
yourself first and use that money to invest, with every paycheck.
- Investing
is a long-term game – not a get rich quick scheme. Live below your means and
invest the rest.
- Wealth
is the result of using your money wisely, not so much as how much you make, but
what you do with what you make.
- Nash’s
grandmother had an 8th grade education and never made a lot of money. But she
saved and invested and was able to buy homes, and leave him and his siblings
thousands of dollars, which he used to make millions.
- As
you increase your earning, increase your investments.
- If
you have a 401K plan, make sure to max it out yearly.
- how
to separate bad debt from good debt.
- Be
careful who you hang out with, because who you hang out with is who you will
become. Hang out with savers and investors, not spenders.
- Don’t
treat money like a toy (that you play with) but as a tool to build wealth. Make
your money go to work to make more money for you every day.
