Greetings Venusian,

Welcome to my world!

It's Women's History Month and yesterday was World Poetry Day! Did you tell anyone I was your favorite poet?ðŸ˜Š I've been blogging about recent history makers in music like Tracy Chapman and Beyonce and counting my blessings, given it's a constructive critique, and not all the buzz, yet.

I also will be sharing a blog soon about one of my favorite visual artists, Frida Kahlo and my thoughts regarding the premiere documentary film I saw that honors her unconquerable spirit in such a stunning fashion. Stay tuned for that.

Dear Precious

On March 9th, I was honored to perform as a featured poet at the Cinequest Film Festival. Click the image below to see a video excerpt of my set featuring the poem "Dear Precious" which was itself inspired by the 2009 film "Precious."
