One
of my favorite leadership things to talk about, mentor and train on is “vision.”
I know that when my vision is clear and focused, every action I take brings me
to accomplishing it. What’s even more effective, fun and meaningful is when my
vision meets those of people who team up to create it together. That's what
leadership success is all about.
Then
the pandemic happens, disrupting so many parts of our lives that it’s difficult
to keep track of them all. Who could have anticipated such a devastating — and
long-enduring — challenge?
If
you feel as if all the plans you’ve made for your business (and your personal
life) just went up in smoke, you’re not alone, believe me! I was scheduled to
keynote and do training for leaders in conferences in Toronto, Ireland, Florida,
Columbus, Chicago — all of which were of course cancelled and only a few adapted
to virtual format. My vision for live speaking and training on Comfluential
Leadership took a nosedive. I can’t travel to see one daughter, and I’m watching
the other navigate a whole new world at her company, uncertain about her future
like so many young women you and I know.
What
I see around me are people who had a dream, a vision, to accomplish something
exciting this year. And that vision is now foggy, put back on the shelf to
collect dust — even disappeared entirely.
Your
vision for your business, career, lifestyle, movement or cause — whatever it is
for you — is the very foundation that gets you up every morning with purpose and
promise. It keeps you on the path forward no matter what, as long as you're able
to keep it alive.
I
understand if your vision is fogged-up, suspended, forgotten, and I want to
help. My adjustment to my own vision this year is to offer personal Zoom
training, mentoring, consulting to anyone who needs it — to help them get back
on track with their vision and goals.
If
right now you are saying, “Yes, I hear you, I need some help with this!” then
please schedule a quick chat with me here and we'll get you back on track.
Thanks,
and here’s to getting together to bring both our visions back to life!
Be
courageous — dare to
lead!
