Recently, I had the good fortune to experience something AMAZING! As a member of the Tampa Bay International Business Council's Board of Directors, we were able to host the 8th annual International Business Summit on April fourth at the A la Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa, Florida.
I am awestruck each year, as this event brings together civic and business leaders to highlight the diversity of people and businesses in the Tampa Bay area. This year’s theme was Exploring Business Opportunities.
This outstanding Council and its members, proudly support diversity through its Bright House Networks Diversity Individual and Business Awards.
The Bright House Networks Individual Diversity Award went to Sunny Duann. Sunny was born in Shanghai, and she immigrated to the U.S. in 1974. She is a Realtor with the RE/MAX Realtec Group and has resided in the Tampa Bay area for 39 years. Her success in the community can be attributed to her passion for learning about new cultures, her love for her heritage and the heartfelt desire to help every person make their own American dream a reality. Since coming to America, Sunny has had the desire to break through stereotypes and share Chinese culture through education and cultural activities. Therefore, she has been very involved in a number of Asian nonprofit organizations. Sunny is truly a remarkable individual!
