One thing that I've noticed while hosting
networking events and setting up Member Spotlight livestream interviews with
members is that many wellness / spiritual / energy healers have a very
difficult time coming up
with an "elevator pitch" that clearly states what they do in a language that
people understand and that piques genuine curiosity.
Here's an awesome (and real) example I came across while
browsing the Internet.
"I support
people to establish a profound embodied presence that harnesses all aspects of
their power as a foundation to thrive."
= Wha?? =
I realize that this coach 100% understands
his language. And is probably really, really good at what he does. But for
majority of the people out there that do need his help, they have no idea that
he is the one to help them based on what he said here.
Message confusion is very common within
holistic communities as many of us have several modalities that can help people
with several problems. How do we fit it all under one
umbrella, in a short message?
Another thing I noticed is that some of our
more spreadsheet / detail-minded members struggle with coming up with unique,
creative language because is just not their thing. They would rather go to the dentist than write
copy.
