  1. To win in negotiations, you must start with just that - a mindset to win!

  2. Understand that everything is negotiable...under the right circumstances.

  3. Most people do not negotiate because they’re afraid or embarrassed to ask.

  4. America is one of the few countries where people only negotiate when buying cars and homes. In other countries, people negotiate everything.

  5. Money saved, even in small bits and pieces, really does add up over time. The old adage is true, "a penny saved is a penny earned." And ten dollars saved is a lot of pennies earned!

  6. The wealthy negotiate for a reason. They understand the importance of money - each and every penny is valuable.

  7. Never take a “No” from someone who does not have the power to say “Yes!” Ask to speak to the person who has the power to make a deal.

  8. Great negotiators practice their skills daily. The more you practice, the better you will become.

  9. Do your homework. Check for sales at other places as well as the date of last sales. Then, see if those places will match them or beat them.

  10. If you do not ASK, the answer is always NO! So, ASK!
