Daymond John is the well-known entrepreneur and star of the 11th season hit television show, Shark Tank!

John is the founder of the Hip Hop clothing empire, FUBU. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he had an entrepreneurial interest from the start, always doing odd jobs like a paper route, shoveling snow, running errands and any other legal way he could help his mom and himself. He was working at Red Lobster when he got the idea for FUBU. His mother mortgaged her home to help him get money for the materials to make the new FUBU clothing.

He struggled and scraped and was finally able to get some rappers to wear his clothes–and that’s when FUBU took off! He has gone on to own a number of companies and to generate millions and millions of dollars.

Daymond John, who is now referred to as “The Shark,” has added best-selling author and popular business and motivational speaker to his list of successes.
