TBBO's Christmas in
July 2016 Highlights:
|
Christmas in July was a great event for Wheels
of Success. We talked about the benefits of car donation to Wheels of Success
as well as receiving a donation to help fund repairing a vehicle.

About Donating A Car to Wheels of Success

You receive the greatest tax advantage for
your donation because we try not sell your car at auction but present it to a
family so you can deduct the fair market value of the vehicle.

Brandon Gets His
Wheels:
Vehicles for Veterans Recipient
|
Brandon is a true
American hero. He is a
husband, father of a four year old, and as an infantryman with the US Army,
served four tours on the front lines in Iraq. In honor of his service, the US
Army has awarded him with its highest honors, decorations and medals for
bravery and valor.
However, the physical
toll of four years of combat has left Brandon partially deaf, and in need of
double knee replacements. He also came home from his final tour with
cancer, and severe PTSD.
Brandon is on the road
to recovery and was referred to Wheels by the Veterans Administration, where
he is not only receiving the care he needs, but had been offered a job to
help other veterans.
Brandon received his
"new to him" 2004 Lexus at the very end of June in honor of July
4th our Independence day and his. His wife is now able to work, his son can
go to Day Care, and he is doing great in his new job. He has also decided to
"pay it forward", as one of Wheels newest and most enthusiastic
volunteers.

Waiting for
Wheels: Kaitlin's Story
|
Wheels of Success has used the fictitious
name "Kaitlin" in this article to protect her identity as a
domestic violence survivor.
The first to sign up for a Wheels' volunteer
opportunity. even though she's waiting for a vehicle. A hard worker
with a determination to turn things around and rise above her homelessness,
caused by a domestic violence situation, Kaitlin has recently been referred
to Wheels by The Spring of Tampa Bay for a vehicle that will enable her to
not only continue working full time, but attend school in the evenings. Her
dream is to become a CNA.
With reliable and safe transportation, Kaitlin
will now be able to complete her studies and begin her career as a CNA in a
local retirement home or hospital. She says that the Wheels' car is her key
to success, and will help her to now complete her vision to "pay it
forward."
