guest, Kelly S. King, CEO of the 7th largest bank in America, Truist
Financial.
Kelly
S. King is an amazing man. He was the CEO of BB&T Bank; and when they merged
with Suntrust, he was chosen to be the chairman and chief executive officer of
Truist Financial Corporation. Plus, he’s a leader on many boards, including the
Bank Policy Institute (BPI) and the National Leadership Advisory Council for
High Point University.
Kelly
grew up on a farm where he and his family lived in a home without indoor
plumbing! But with his strong work ethic, he put himself through East Carolina
University and on through graduate school at Rutgers University.
Kelly
S. King started his banking career at an entry level position and worked his way
up the corporate ladder - all the way up to CEO, and one of the most respected
banking executives in America.

a lifelong learner. The world is changing so fast - there’s new information
daily. So decide to learn daily.
- Get
wisdom from wise people. Find that pearl of wisdom and then act on it.
- Be
clear about your life purpose and stay focused on making a difference.
- Commit
time and energy to your goal(s) every day.
