I'm super excited to announce the next milestone in Lil Red's journey!

Hip Hop Film Festival - G.O.A.T. Awards!

You might have heard me say that my animated short film, Lil Red is Riding the Wrong Way in the Hood, is "a hip-hop twist on Little Red Riding Hood."

Well now it's official! Lil Red has not only been accepted into the 2024 Hip Hop Film Festival in New York City, it has been NOMINATED FOR A G.O.A.T. AWARD! The Hip Hop Film Festival (HHFF) takes place at the world-famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, a venue I've seen on television since I was a child.

Lil Red will screen at the Apollo on Friday, August 16th in the 6pm block of films. Yes... you heard that right. For its East Coast festival Premiere, Lil Red will be on the big screen of the most famous Black theater in the world! I am beyond humbled, grateful, and honored just to be in this cherished space with so much history and so much talent.

The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) Awards, also known as the "Hip Hop Oscars," will take place at the Apollo on Sunday, August 18. I'll be in the same room with other honorees like hip-hop legend MC Lyte and HHFF founder C R Capers.

And guess what.... YOU ARE INVITED to join us live and in person for this milestone event!

Note Lil Red is in Block 5 on Friday, August 16, at 6pm ET. Click the "Get Pass" button.
On the Screening Blocks page, scroll down to Block 5 and click "Purchase Block Pass". (Of course, you are welcome to purchase any other Block Passes, or even a Festival All-Access Pass from here.)
Complete your purchase on the TicketMaster page. It should say "Fri * Aug 16 * 6:00 PM" at the top.
