February
has become my favorite month: I lovingly remember my dear mother, Bessie Jacobs,
who would have been 104 years old today. My wonderful daughter Heather's
birthday is next week. And Wheels of Success is in the process of presenting its
1000th car before the end of the month!
What a legacy to my mother who inspired me to start Wheels of Success. She
had polio, but didn't let her disability define her life. A working widow, she
raised me with valuable lessons: Love what you do. Always do your best. Remember
that with perseverance, there is NOTHING you cannot achieve.
With her as my inspiration, and my daughter's
continual and unflagging encouragement, Wheels of Success is ready to start on
the next 1000 cars!
Do something extraordinary! With 34 actively working
families currently waiting for their new-to-them cars, let's kick off the 1001st
with an extraordinary campaign.
It costs an average of $3000 to build a
car, supplying the parts: batteries, engines, wipers, tires, etc. Help
us build the 1001st car!
My mother would thank you, my
daughter and I do thank you, but most important, the working families whose
lives you will change thank you.
Because sometimes the key to success is
simply...a key.
