When I was
studying Tarot, I fell in love with the Hermit. The Hermit on top of the
mountain shines the lantern’s light so people following the path can see their
way up. I internalized that image knowing that I am partially through this
journey, walking upon my path. As a result, I can turn around and shine my
light down for other people who have just begun. I can hold the light for
others who are not as far along.
As a coach,
just because I put myself in the position of mentoring, helping other people,
doesn’t mean I know it all. In fact, I sometimes have learned more from
coaching sessions than what my clients do. I am constantly getting revelations.
Clients come to coaches with problems that they need solved; but in reality, it
is also ‘stuff’ we need solved.
Importantly,
remember to embrace this mindset: we can share what we already know. We are not
teaching people who are in the same experience as we are. We need to help
people that are coming up. Give them a hand. We are qualified to do that. As
long as we stay open to continue learning and learn from others, learn from the
Universe and maintain growth, then we can continue to help them progress as we
progress.
A lot of
people compare themselves to others and they get stuck. First, look at how
successful you already are. In a presentation, I heard that the odds for us in
our DNA composition, our unique package are 1 in 44 trillion that sperm and
that egg got together, and created us in exactly the same form. If we look at
our life experiences, just in general, and if we look at our unique
experiences, that’s like 1 in 100 trillion – there is nobody else that is put
together the same way. So, look at yourself as a unique individual with unique
experiences and perspectives, and how you can share that.
Also,
somewhere, there are crowds of people waiting to hear your specific story based
on your experiences. Even though we are unique in the experiences, everybody
can probably draw a parallel to our experiences.
People need
to hear it in our voice. We are doing a disservice to humanity by not speaking
our truth, by not owning those gifts. There are a lot of people who are
seeking. All of us who are healers, we are seeking. Just imagine if the voice
that led you to the decisions, to education, to new growth; what would happen
if you decided not to be able to speak?
You have a
responsibility to share your story and ‘pay it forward’. Take your experiences
and look at them, somebody gave it to you, now look to give it to somebody
else. The bottom line is those people that are seeking will always be seeking
until they find something, so why can’t it be you? Why are you going to let
them go someplace else? And, they may not get the message, the perspective that
you can bring to them. It may help them change their lives in some form.
For me, I
see it with my tweets every day. People’s worlds are changing with one tweet at
a time. Every day I hear messages on how a little tweet made an impact in that
person’s day. Every day I get a message that it came at the right time, thanks
for the reminder, great thing, I want to be able to share this.
So, there
are a lot of ways to share your voice. We do not know who is going to hear it,
or how it will impact their lives. We need to be able to share it for the sake
of sharing it, knowing it will make a difference. We may not know where it will
make a difference, but it will!
There is a
stream of consciousness that flows, and the Universe will use every medium
possible to be able to deliver the message, and where it needs to be able to
be. Serve the World and touch people’s lives!
