September 7th will mark
the 5th anniversary of my first tweet. I am hosting my Twitter
Party starting at 12 pm ET to celebrate the incredible journey and
opportunities I have received through Twitter.
Join us in an
afternoon filled with great conversations, list building activities, powerful
and impactful Twitter stories, door prizes and more.
The party will
get started with a special Building Better Relationships radio
show where you will hear stories from Twitizens whose lives have
been positively impacted by Twitter: new relationships created, movements
started and more. Join me on both Twitter and the radio show – simulcast
to get the party started, then we tweet until we can’t tweet anymore or we all
end up in Twitter jail. 
Throughout the
afternoon all attendees will be able to share their links to their sites, blogs
and social media sites. To be most effective and attract the most new
followers, please post your sites in response to a question that I will post.

The hashtag we
will be using is #GaryLoperTwitterParty.
Please see last week’s blog post 2 Great tools for Twitter Chats for creating the
best tweet chat experience. It is a long tag, which will mean that your
tweets will need to be 100 characters or less for feasibility in ReTweeting
(RT) your messages.
Many of my
co-hosts will be very active in the chat room all afternoon, and have donated
door prizes that you’ll be able to win by being the first to respond with the
correct answer.
