Hi,
There's a reason why the 80's TV show
Cheers was so popular. And if you listen to the lyrics of the
theme song, I think the overall sentiment is even more applicable to today's day and age!
(Yes, I've just dated myself. But I bet I am not alone in taking a moment to reminisce with a smile.)
The point is, people are longing for connection. To be known. To be considered. To be seen. At Cheers, the staff "knew everyone's name" because they showed up, sat around the bar, and made it a point to connect.
The HCC is definitely not a bar, but we are certainly a place where like-minded individuals can find a "home away from home".
And many of you, I have already gotten to know your name as you consistently show up to Zoom networking and the global events. And if I know your name, you can bet others do too!
Why do we care about this?
#1 - Because it elicits a warm, fuzzy feeling.
#2 - Because when people know you, and what you do, they can easily refer others to you.
So if this is something you are longing for, we would love to see more of you!
In the spirit of Cheers, I thought I would take a moment to introduce us, the team here at headquarters. After all, knowing the faces behind the organization matters too!
