George Foreman is the former heavyweight champion of the world. He was a hard hitting young boxer who won a gold medal in the Olympics. He immediately turned pro and quickly rose to become the heavyweight champion.

Foreman lost his heavyweight championship to Muhammad Ali; but got a qualifying bout with Jimmy Young to be able to fight Ali a second time.

In the dressing room after the fight with Jimmy Young, George Foreman had a conversion experience. He said he died and came back to life. When Foreman came back to life, he said he had met Jesus! He was a changed man! He had not been a religious man before that night. But after that night he quit boxing and became a preacher.

As part of his ministry, he opened a youth center, but had financial challenges. So, George Foreman decided to make money doing what he had done to make money in the past – he went back into the ring! Eventually, Foreman won the heavyweight championship again, at the age of 45!

He promoted a product called The George Foreman Grill that sold over 100 million units. He has become one of America’s most popular and personable pitch men for products on television!

His story is now featured in a new movie about his life called Big George Foreman!
