Greetings,
Welcome to my world!
I'm excited to reconnect — it’s my birthday month, and entering my fifties feels meaningful and rejuvenating. I have a fresh look, a cozy new home in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and an inspired mindset. I've spent time growing spiritually and emotionally, and truthfully, I've also enjoyed maybe a few too many smoothies in the land of smiles. But hey — I still feel great!
After a break, I've realized something deeply important: the world urgently needs artists and activists. I'm back in touch because I have something impactful to share.
?? I've created an award-winning short film described as essential and powerful; it's a rhythmic, 7-minute spoken word poem entitled Lil Red is Riding the Wrong Way in the Hood.
This poetic narrative tackles critical topics such as grooming, child labor, silence, trust, and exploitation. It explores the dangers children face when they lack the language to understand and speak out against their experiences. Ultimately, it's about the power of storytelling to protect children and break abusive cycles.
You're invited to the YouTube premiere and watch party:
?? July 19th at 5 pm PT | 8 pm ET on YouTube.
This film is the first installment in a planned three-part safety series. Over the coming month, I'll share opportunities for you to deepen your involvement — supporting not just a film, but a movement to decrease the number of exploited youth.
Let's engage in this critical dialogue. Who do you know who cares deeply about child safety? Which organizations should we collaborate with or highlight who protect children from exploitation globally?
Your voice matters. Let's make a difference together.
Let's keep looking up and keep looking out,
?
