never make a living as a writer."
Isn’t
it fascinating how some people seem so sure about what’s possible and what
isn’t? I’ve heard it too—those warnings about how hard it is to make a living as
a writer.
For
a while, I believed them.
But
the more I looked into it, the more I realized something: the people who say
these things often don’t know the whole story. Sure, writing as a career has its
challenges. But doesn’t every career?
It
reminds me of when I first started learning something completely new. At first,
I was overwhelmed by how much I didn’t know. But over time, I discovered
strategies and opportunities I never expected.
Writing
is like that. Today’s world offers endless possibilities—from traditional
publishing to self-publishing, as well as blogging, freelance content creation,
and even writing courses or coaching.
It’s
true that success doesn’t come overnight. But isn’t that part of what makes it
meaningful?
The
next time someone tells you that you can’t make a living as a writer, consider
this: there are countless writers out there proving them wrong every day. You
