the Good Vibe Recap Commence!
With SO many amazing places, spaces
& insights, I realized I wanted to explore & share far more than a
single email or photo gallery could hold, so this week our recap begins at the
very beginning (a very good place to start!) and continues through our scenic
wildflower-laden drive to Austin, TX!
Even though a "recap" may not seem
very Onward-Upward-Forward, I have found that when I "up-cycle" my experiences
by highlighting the beauty, fun, joy and gifts that occurred along my path, I
set powerful wheels in motion to attract & allow even MORE awesomeness!

Segment #1: FL - Mobile, AL, Louisiana, Welcome to
Texas!

Want to get the vacation vibe
flowing as soon as you start your engine? Create a road trip playlist! EVERY one
of our road trips begins with pushing "play" as soon as our tires start to roll!
Nothing says, "you're on your way" to us more than the song, "Life is a
Highway!" (and both the Tom Cochrane & Rascal Flatt versions are fab!)
Even when I/we are not able to take
a road trip, putting this song & playlist on still gets our free & happy
vibe wheels turning!
"We get there when we get there."
Rather than being attached to a
specific arrival time, we opted to prepare at our leisure and take our time
getting to our first destination. Yes, we arrived late, but we started our trip
with fun, ease & flow, which is (for us) THE direction we most want to
go!

Thanks to the magic of DNA testing
and Ancestry.com, John was able to meet an uncle he never knew he had (who is SO
much like him!!), and this life-long francophile (moi!), was greeted by a new
tante (aunt) who is FROM France, who shared her beautiful language, culture, art
& food with us! C'est magnifique!!
Set an intention & let it
grow!
I knew I wanted to see the famed
Texas bluebonnets and did all manner of research as to where to find them, BUT
when uncle Jack & tante Dominique encouraged us to check out a fab boot shop
on our way to Austin, we ran right into these flowery rockstars (spots even
BETTER than any of my researched areas) - and SO much more!
Intend, do what you can, stay open
to how and then...wow!
Hummingbirds in love!
I love hummingbirds: Actually, love
is an understatement. Let's just say that I may need a 12-step program for my
level of adoration for hummingbirds... So...
Any time there is even the smallest
chance of getting to see even one of my winged friends, I will drive, walk, and
climb over hill & dale. I knew I would certainly see my share when we
arrived in Arizona, but when we walked to a trailhead in Austin, TX and were
greeted to the sight of a male doing acrobatics for his potential mate I thought
I would lose my freakin' mind! Another incredible gift, indeed!
