He has worked with billionaires and millionaires and was the chief communication specialist with the private equity firm The Carlyle Group, co-founded by American billionaire businessman, David Rubenstein.

Chris now runs his own company and represents David and many of the other principles from The Carlyle Group.

But there is more. Chris is a four-time national and international whistling grand champion (1994, 1996, 1999, and 2000)! He has performed with orchestras for former United States presidents, at major sporting events, and on The Tonight Show.

His repertoire includes classical, blues, jazz, Broadway, rock and patriotic songs. Every year, Chris serenades more than 600 people on their birthdays.

In June 2017, he published Find Your Whistle: Simple Gifts Tough Hearts and Change Lives, and in 2012, he was inducted into the International Whistling Hall of Fame.

4. Become an advisor and not just a message taker.
   
   
5. Be willing to speak truth to power.
   
   
6. Be relentless and bold. Ask for what you want and be willing to ask over, and over, and over again.
   
   
7. Gratitude and greatness go hand-in-hand.
   
   
8. Think like your successor when you start your workday. Ask, “What would a new CEO do to grow the business?”
   
   
9. Get the old stagnant thinking out and the new thinking in; then, act on it.
   
   
10. Be open to constructive feedback to get better. Feedback is the breakfast of champions.
