What is EGO?
I have heard over and over again EGO stands for: Edging God
Out!
What have you heard it stands for?
What do you think it stands for?
What does EGO mean to you?
I have been pondering on what EGO means to me and I believe
EGO is: Expressing God Openly
Because if God lives inside of us and God gives us special talents,
passions, gifts, etc. why shouldn’t we express God’s gifts openly to the world?
Remember when we were kids and we sang the song “this little
Light of Mine, I am going to let it shine”? Well what happened? We were told
you should not brag or be proud. Where I grew up if you showed confidence others
said - you thought you were IT! What is IT?
When Jesus walked on the earth over 2000 years ago he
healed people completely. He did not tell the blind man – OK I will give you
your sight back for 30 days, after that back into the darkness. Or the crippled
man – OK you can walk around the block then you are back on your mat. Or he
didn’t turn the water into wine for only the special guests at the wedding, no he
turned all the jugs of water into wine for everyone. When he raised Lazarus from
the grave did he say – OK you can live for 3 hours to say goodbye to your
sisters Mary and Martha. Of course not.
Consider what did Jesus tells us: Greater things than I do
you shall do. Well if we believe that why are we running around pretending we
are powerless?
What if EGO means Empowerment Greatness Oneness?
Enough about my thoughts.
