"Most
people know intuitively, intrinsically those things that feel inspiring
for them, that they’re really curious about or they want to express,
but their fears and phobias keep them contained. So what happens is that
most of us never become all that we want to be."
~ Maura Sweeney
Whether
we admit it or not, we live in a society where much of the messaging is
negative. As a result, we feel disempowered, divided, fearful and often
depressed.
It's from that standpoint that I share a recent interview I had with New Zealand's Victor Ahipene on his Public Speaking Blueprint
interview series. Victor's goal is to engage with public speakers about
their backgrounds, initiatives and personal insights.
He offered me a
great opportunity to share several personal success elements for anyone
wishing to speak, live and become the change they wish to see in the
world.
I love personal stories, because we all have several of our
own. As we hear one person's empowering story, we discover how to write a new one for ourself.
Here's what you'll discover in our interview that follows:
- The five things people really want in life, yet what often keeps them bound.
- Regardless of your age, only you can decide to step out.
- How,
by putting in the time, effort and passion into what you want to do,
you can literally transform yourself into the person you want to become.
- By
following personal inclinations and pursuing avenues derived from your
own unique interests, you can create a resume that sets you apart and
establishes you as your own brand.
