Consider this in part as your “mid-year review” – What did you want to
create this year? How are you doing on your goals and resolutions from
January?
Ask yourself:
- What is next for you this year?
- Are you considering new steps to reach your health, relationship and/or
business/budget goals?
- Is there a leap of faith between where you are now and where
you want to be?
If you are stuck on one or two of your goals, odds are there is a leap of
faith involved. From where you are today, it may look messy or you may be unsure
that the steps you see in front of you will get you to your desired
result.
Remember that baby steps create a cumulative effect. The results add up
over time. This is especially visible when watching a child grow. Also, when
exercising, you can see how starting out with a walk around the block becomes a
mile becomes a half-marathon. We don’t start a marathon by doing it all on the
first day.
Cumulative effects are also clear in social media, emails, websites, blogs
and businesses. The more connections you get, the more additions you make… It
all adds up. It is often better to make one small update every other day than
one big update once per week. For your business, one sale at a time creates a
growing budget. Even Oprah took 25 years to become a household name.
